Apes vs. Aliens in This Month’s Monster Fun Comic
Kid Kong, Crabbe’s Crusaders and Garzag’s Galactic Guzzle-Pit from me and ace artists Karl Dixon, Ruairí Coleman and P.J. Holden in the November issue of Monster Fun, out now from Rebellion Publishing
Kid Kong isn’t the only creature let loose in this month’s issue of Monster Fun, fast becoming one of the UK’s most popular humour comics for younger readers.
Banana-obsessed knucklehead Kid Kong must take to the stars when Gran is kidnapped by a flying saucer. Regular artist Karl Dixon really brings the laser-strewn chaos to life in this one.
Sensational Marvel artist Ruairí Coleman (Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) returns with the finale of Crabbe’s Crusaders. Orphans Will, Taj and ‘Red’ O’Rorke have been gifted with hi-tech joypads capable of conjuring an arsenal of aircraft and holo-light gadgets – which they’ll need to rescue a stricken cruise-ship from the acidic tentacles a toxic sludge kraken!
Rounding off this month’s trio of tales is a brand-new two-pager, Garzag’s Galactic Guzzle-Pit, with art by the terrifically talented P.J. Holden. It’s the story of Garzag, a sweet-natured but short-sighted alien chef struggling to appease a particularly tricky customer known as Zorthrax the Unforgivable!
As always, I’m honoured to have my stories appearing alongside some of the funniest strips by the biggest talents in British comics:
Gums by Stacey Whittle and Brett Parson
Hells Angel by Chris Garbutt
Space Invaded by John Lucas, Barbara Nosenzo and H.A. O’Millar
Draculass by Derek Fridolfs, Mia N. Paramus and Mando Sitchen
Martha's Monster Make-Up by Dave Bulmer and Abigail Bulmer
Witch vs. Warlock by Derek Fridolfs, Rebecca Morse, H. Yannou and Ozwaldo Sanchez.
“Monster Fun is bursting with tall tales, hilarious oddballs and monstrously loud laughs, highly recommended for readers of any age! These are terrifyingly great comics!”
Jamie Smart, Bunny Vs Monkey
